Functionality

The aCOLade 2 features an illuminated receiver plate and a large LED digital display for clear, accurate readouts. Each colony is counted with a light pen, touch — pressure-sensitive marking automatically registers on the counter, accompanied by an optional audible confirmation tone. The sensitivity can be adjusted to suit individual preferences, ensuring versatility and accuracy for every user.

 

Visibility

Equipped with low-energy LED sub-stage illumination, the aCOLade 2 delivers bright, glare-free lighting for optimal plate visibility. A switchable black background enhances the contrast of translucent or faint colonies, while included graticules and dish adapters accommodate plates up to 90 mm in diameter, ensuring flexibility across applications.

 

Practicality
