The Synbiosis Chromogenic ID Software is a dedicated analysis module designed to automatically identify colonies grown on chromogenic media. Working seamlessly with ProtoCOL 3, Protos 3 and ChromaZona systems, it distinguishes bacteria by colour, delivering fast, objective, and reproducible identification results for clinical and industrial microbiology laboratories.

Automation

The Chromogenic ID Software rapidly analyses plate images, detecting and classifying colonies based on hue, saturation, and brightness. By automating the differentiation of mixed cultures, it removes operator subjectivity and ensures consistent, standardised identification across multiple media types and test conditions.

Precision

Using advanced RGB colour recognition algorithms, the software provides precise classification even for closely shaded colonies, supporting accurate species-level discrimination. This enables high-throughput screening with dependable repeatability, improving data confidence and laboratory efficiency.

Compliance

All results are securely stored and can be exported to Excel, PDF, CSV or direct to your LIMS for complete traceability. When integrated with ProtoCOL 3, the software supports 21 CFR Part 11 compliance, offering full audit trails, controlled user access, and data integrity — ideal for regulated environments where accuracy and accountability are essential.
