Our team’s extensive experience spans various divisions, including Syngene, Synbiosis, Fistreem, and Gallenkamp. With two offices, one in the UK and the other in the USA, we are fully equipped to provide you with the support you need for your laboratory requirements.
Kate joined Synoptics as an Applications Specialist for Synbiosis in March 2010 and took over running the Synbiosis division in 2014. She is now the Sales and Technical Director for Synoptics. Kate studied for a degree in Biomedical Sciences at Portsmouth University, specialising in Microbiology. Previously employed by Wickham Laboratories in Hampshire, where she started as a Virology and Microbiology Technician, she then went on to manage the Sterility department and became a Study Director for GLP/GMP sample testing.
In November 2000, Clare joined Synoptics as the Finance Manager. She was instrumental in achieving the AIM listing for SDI Plc in 2008 before taking over as Finance and Operations Director for Synoptics Limited in 2019.
Before joining Synoptics, Clare gained her ACCA qualification in 1996 while working at the University of Cambridge Physiology Department, before becoming an Audit Manager at KPMG, specialising in Owner Managed Businesses and the Education Sector.
Clare is the Sales Manager for the Syngene, Fistreem and Gallenkamp brands. She has worked at Synoptics for 4 years and was essential in the process of onboarding of Fistreem and Gallenkamp brands. Before working at Synoptics, Clare worked with a range of companies in the scientific field in a similar role. Martin joined Syngene as the UK & Ireland Sales Manager in 2012 and is responsible for looking after direct sales in the UK and our distributors in Ireland and the UK. Martin studied Biological Sciences at the University of Plymouth for his first degree and holds a PhD in Bioscience and Biotechnology from the University of Strathclyde. His previous experience was as Sales and Marketing Director at GRI and European Sales Manager at Hoefer, Scie-plas and Biochrom Spectrophotometers.
Richard is a Sales and Projects Manager at Synbiosis, where he drives advancements in products, processes, and technology. He has a background in Biological Sciences and computing, which helps him develop solutions that meet customer needs. Richard has successfully launched innovative products and participates in conferences to stay updated with the latest developments in biological sciences and computing.
Simon has been an excellent member of our team for over 30 years, currently working as a Service Manager for the Syngene, Synbiosis, Fistreem, and Gallenkamp divisions
Josh joined us in 2023. With his extensive experience in various industries, from food production to telecoms, he brings diverse skills to the Syngene, Synbiosis, Fistreem, and Gallenkamp divisions. Josh’s friendly demeanour makes him the perfect addition to the Synoptics family and the ideal person to help you with your systems.
Maureen Gauvreau is the US Director of Operations, responsible for managing both the Syngene and Synbiosis divisions in the US. She joined Synoptics in November 2011 with over ten years of accounting experience. Maureen served as the Financial Manager in 2015 and then took over as the US Director of Operations in 2016.
In November 2023, Shelly will have completed 11 years of service at Synoptics. During that time, she has been responsible for quoting and maintaining service contracts, processing and sending equipment sales quotes, maintaining the CRM database, and invoicing billable service. Before this, she spent 24 years at Nucletron, which later became Elekta, working in service support and performing the same duties as those at Synoptics.
In August 2022, Laura joined the Synoptics Inc. team to handle Syngene and Synbiosis field applications for the USA and Canada. Her role primarily involves performing demonstrations and training lab personnel on using our instruments. Previously, she worked in Histocompatibility, conducting DNA typing, serology assays, and antibody testing for a busy transplant lab. With her passion for scientific innovation and expertise in the field, Laura is an excellent asset to the US Team.
Tori joined the Synoptics team in July 2023 to provide product support and service for the Syngene and Synbiosis divisions. She has a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from VCU and brings with her 12 years of laboratory experience in the areas of mass spectroscopy, immunogenetics, and histocompatibility. Tori coaches her two young daughters in cheerleading for the local association in her spare time.
Lindsey is a Product Specialist who handles the Syngene, Fistreem, and Gallenkamp brands. She has been with Synoptics for 14 years and has closely collaborated with the Support, R&D, and Sales teams. With a Doctorate in Philosophy that focuses on molecular neuropsychopharmacology and extensive experience in molecular biology, Lindsey is an invaluable member of the team.
Nick is a highly skilled Applications Specialist at Synoptics. With his technical expertise, he regularly meets with customers to provide top-notch support and contributes to the development of cutting-edge products. His journey to this position started as a Biomedical Scientist in hospital laboratories across the UK, where he honed his skills and gained invaluable experience.
Kirsty is a dedicated Marketing Specialist at Synoptics. Her passion for excellence is reflected in her work, where she manages the Syngene, Synbiosis, Gallenkamp, and Fistreem divisions. She joined the team at the start of 2023, bringing a wealth of experience gained from working in both B2B agencies and in-house settings. Kirsty’s previous role at Anglian Waters Central Laboratory in purchasing has honed her industry experience, making her an asset to the Synoptics team.
